Targeted Investments
In 2025-2026, Centraide will increase its investments in vulnerable
communities:
— +$75,000 for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities
— +$300,000 for Indigenous communities
— +$370,000 for migrants with precarious status
— +$500,000 for homelessness and housing
Additional Support for Homelessness
To support agencies working with people experiencing homelessness and help them maintain their
services amid growing needs, Centraide will operate the Emergency Homelessness Assistance Fund,
financing structuring projects over two years that address targeted and priority needs.
This fund includes $8.5 M for Québec provided by the Secrétariat à l’action communautaire autonome et
aux initiatives sociales (SACAIS) through the Fonds québécois d’initiatives sociales (FQIS) – Ministry of
Employment and Social Solidarity. This amount is supplemented by a $990,000 investment from
Centraide of Greater Montréal to support local agencies in its territory.
