July 9 concert in Saint-Léonard
Concerts in parks
Centraide partnered with the Orchestre Métropolitain (OM) for the OM Since the Lachine concert was
Alfresco series of three concerts in Saint-Léonard, Lachine and Montréal- cancelled due to the weather,
Nord. Nearly 4,000 people attended these free musical performances the workshop will be offered
in a relaxed and social atmosphere. These events are a perfect illustration at local community agencies
of Centraide’s mission and deep commitment to local communities. in summer 2025.
The neighbourhoods where the concerts were scheduled have many
low-income residents who cannot always access this type of cultural
activity that is nevertheless so essential to social inclusion.
As part of a pre-concert experience, 160 children and 90 parents got a
behind-the-scenes look at how an orchestra concert works.
